Contraindications
- Arterial grafts or shunts in the limb
Relative Contraindications
- Coagulopathy or anticoagulant therapy (↑ risk of bleeding/hematoma)
- Thrombocytopenia (low platelet count <80,000/μL)
- Severe hypotension or shock (poor perfusion, unreliable sample)
- Recent vascular surgery at puncture site
